2021 Event Safety Guidelines

On behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters, thank you for supporting our mission! We are excited to once again host events, but respect the current environment and want to ensure we keep guests, volunteers, and staff safe as we provide an unforgettable experience. To be a good steward of our community, guidelines about touching shared objects and social distancing will govern the way we host our events.  In this document, you’ll find our Safety Guidelines to provide the safest possible environment during events. 

As our guest, we ask that you partner with us to ensure a safe, healthy, and fun event! Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation.  We will stand together to support this more than one hundred year old mission and Defend the Potential of our youth!

Self-Screening

All supporters, volunteers, and staff are required to self-screen prior to being on-site. Please stay at home if you do not feel well and/or display any of the following new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19.

• Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than 100.3 degrees Fahrenheit
• Cough 
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Chills
• Repeated shaking with chills
• Muscle pains
• Headaches
• Sore throat
• Loss of taste or smell
• Diarrhea
• Known close contact

Please note that public health guidance cannot anticipate every unique situation. Individuals should stay informed and take actions based on common sense and wise judgment that will protect health and support economic revitalization.

Temperature Checks -

All guest, volunteers, and staff will be required to get their temperature checked once they arrive on site. There will be a “check point” when you arrive where medically certified personnel will check temperatures. Any person registering a temperature over 100.3 will not be permitted to be on site.

Mask Requirement

Any person (guests, volunteers, staff members) provided where safe distancing is not possible MUST wear a mask.  All guests, volunteers and staff members are encouraged to provide their own masks and have them available when needed.

Pre-Event Information

Prior to the start to each event, all participants will receive specific safety guidelines for each event. These guidelines can be found on the event website.

Registration:

Please consider completing pre-registration prior to the event, to limit lines for registering at the event. If you have any questions regarding our registration process, please email dallasevents@bbbstx.org.

Hand Sanitizer Stations

All events will have multiple, well placed areas of hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility. All areas including our golf tournament and clay shoot will have hand sanitizer and/or disinfecting wipes at shared areas such as water stations, release buttons, golf carts, etc.

Award Ceremony / Program

Awards ceremonies will be conducted within safe distancing guidelines.  All ceremonies will be limited to including guests, staff and volunteers.

All persons MUST wear a mask if the ceremony location does not provide adequate space for safe distancing practices.  All guests, volunteers and staff are encouraged to provide their own masks and have them available when needed.

Big Brothers Big Sisters will work with each facility to ensure all safety guidelines are followed by all participants including safe food & beverage handling, social distancing, etc.
